Leicestershire artist, Carol Hardisty, mainly takes her inspiration for her artwork from local people-from scenes in the market to her local rugby club where all 3 of her sons have played junior rugby. Much of her artwork is displayed in Melton Mowbray Rugby Club and also in the Market Tavern at Melton Mowbray Cattle Market. A keen sports fan, Carol has also painted supporters of various sports enjoying their interests.

Influenced by the humour of Beryl Cooks artwork, Carol’s work is more realistic but has the same vivid colour and conveys the similar zest for life that Cooks work has.
